Matthew Schofield
Matt is a retired pediatrician, having lived in Massachusetts for 30 years. He and his wife, Jessica, bought Sheepscot Meadow Farm farm in July 2018 with the intention of returning it to an agricultural purpose.
Matt values family time, walking the farm, and caring for the animals and property.

Jessica Raban
Jessica ‘Jessie’ Raban spent her work life in academic and public libraries in and around Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her favorite aspect of this work was building a flourishing community centered not only around books but around programming that responds to the skills and wide-ranging interests of multi-generational families. Beyond Books, the public library she ran, hosted family potlucks, an emerging writers series, art-openings, story times and after-school programming for children. Though the focus of the Farm is animals rather than books, the goals are similar: Creating a space where the community can gather to teach and learn from each other. In the process, Jessie and Matt both hope that the farm will build momentum as it responds to community skills and interests.

Sean is the driving force that has turned vision into reality at the farm. Returning home to Maine after a successful career in construction in Cambridge, he brought both a deep connection to the land and a passion for livestock care rooted in his early years in Freeport.
Leveraging his extensive carpentry expertise, Sean built the farm’s core infrastructure—including secure enclosures and custom fencing—and now manages daily property operations. Beyond his hands-on work, he has built strong partnerships with local neighbors and businesses to ensure seamless management across the board.
With the successful completion of The Barn, Sean has helped unlock an exciting new chapter for the property, creating a welcoming space where volunteers can help shape and build the farm's future.
