Our Mission

Welcome to Sheepscot Meadow Farm!

We are a non-profit farm dedicated to animal conservation and community enrichment. Our dual mission focuses on providing high-quality care for rare livestock breeds while expanding our sanctuary to welcome new animals, alongside creating meaningful agricultural experiences for Mainers of all ages.

Community & Youth Programs

We are actively building a local 4-H program to empower the next generation of farmers. To support this initiative, we are seeking experienced mentors to guide young participants through the 4-H framework, fostering hands-on agricultural education and leadership skills.

Get Involved

Whether you are visiting for an afternoon or looking to make a lasting impact, there are many ways to engage with our farm:

  • Visit & Explore: Tour the grounds and spend time with our resident animals.

  • Volunteer: Join us on a regular basis to assist with daily farm operations, animal husbandry, and maintenance.

  • Lead & Serve: Apply your skills to our Board of Directors to help guide SMF’s strategic vision and future growth.

Join us in cultivating a stronger community—all are welcome!
